A significant development folks. Local upper house MP Andrea Coote questioned Justin Madden in parliament over the towers this week. Specifically she asked whether he intended to “call” in the development. In short his resposne was:

“It is not my intention to intervene in this project whatsoever, and there you have it.”

FYI “Calling in” a project refers to the Planning Minister essentially by-passing local governemnt to approve / amend / deny a development. Let’s just say that “calling in” a development is generally a happy development for developers – not so much for residents.

Our priority now is clear – call all local councillors and tell them to refuse the rezoning Lend Lease wants. Time to work the phones.
