Orrong Group meets Vivas Lend Lease: report

Hugh Martin meets Orrong Group

Mr Martin responds to our concerns.

If you’re wondering why we met VLL – it was to get the facts straight from the source. The facts don’t make for pretty reading (see above). Too many residents still expect VLL to compromise – this meeting confirmed that any meaningful compromise is pure fantasy.

Thank you for your well chosen summary report of your meeting with Vivas Lend Lease. You are right to be reluctant to agree to “finesse” aspects of this proposal. Remember that their responses are driven by their “bottom line” and they do not have to live with the resulting problems (excessive density, overshadowing, overloaded transport facilities etc.),

Please keep pressing Lend Lease and Stonnington to ensure that any development takes into account the requirments listed in points a) to d) of your summary.

Keep up the good work. There are many local residents that agree with and support what you are doing.
