Orrong Group is concerned that the site lacks protection and despite all our work the developers could again put up proposals for high rise towers.

We are writing to Council to request that it commence preparation of an Urban Design Framework (UDF) for the site and to develop this in consultation with community representatives. A UDF should consider all issues – design, open space and set BACKS, maximum height and density levels, parking and traffic issues and take into account the heritage and low level nature of the surrounsing area. Far more than just the height of the towers.

Orrong Group is asking Council to start afresh and to set aside any pre-conceived ideas about height and density and to put together the best minds available to achieve the best possible design and outcome for 590 Orrong Road Armadale.

We have prepared a proforma covering these points for Mayor & Council.

    More than happy to keep the real estate board signage on my fence, however I’d suggest it’s starting to loose it’s visual impact and message due to familiarity.
    Perhaps we could have some new stickering made up with something like “ROUND 2 STARTS NOW – GET INVOLVED!” to be applied as an addendum in a similar fashion to when a “Sold” sticker is added to an agents board?
