Community shut out of UDF process

We thought the Council would have been, like this basset hound, all ears.

We are pleased that the Council has finally agreed to work on a UDF but we are disappointed that Council has refused to include the community representatives in the preparation phase. We do not support the view that to include the community would cause a conflict of interest. Surely your interests are the interests that matter most!

We would welcome your responses on this point. (See our contact details on the contacts page for details.) We intend to pursue this further with the Council.

If you think that the community should have a say in the UDF write a short letter to the editor of the Stonnington Leader: stonnington@leadernewspapers.com.au

And of course Councillor contacts are always on this website’s contact page.
