CONSULTATION ON DRAFT URBAN DESIGN FRAMEWORK FOR 590 ORRONG ROAD, ARMADALE

Council considered consultation feedback on the 590 Orrong Road Context and Site Structure undertaken in August 2011 and a draft Urban Design Framework at its meeting on 19 September 2011. At this meeting Council resolved to:

Release the draft Urban Design Framework for 590 Orrong Road for

public consultation with the following amendment:

Building heights are to be represented in metres instead of storeys.

Undertake public consultation.

Authorise officers to prepare documentation for interim planning controls for 590 Orrong Road, Armadale.

Request the Minister for Planning to prepare an Amendment C152 to the Stonnington Planning Scheme to provide interim planning controls for

590 Orrong Road, Armadale based on the amended draft Urban Design Framework with the maximum building height being the height of the

existing building on the site.

Hard copies of the draft Urban Design Framework will also be sent out to more than 13,000 residents and ratepayers.
