Breaking: Lend Lease has lodged plan for 590 Orrong Road

Lend Lease is taking us back to the future...again.

From the City of Stonnington website:

The City of Stonnington received a planning application for 590 Orrong Road and 4 Osment Street, Armadale on Friday 16 September 2011. The application is for the use and development of the land for a total of 475 dwellings (comprising 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and 18 townhouses), 154 sqm convenience shop, 199 sqm licensed cafe with 130 seats and a maternal health centre.

Ancillary multi-purpose room and pool and gym facilities are also proposed for the use of the on-site residents. Signalised vehicular access is proposed from Orrong Road, reduction in car parking provision, removal of native vegetation and waiver of loading requirements. The proposed opening hours for the convenience shop and licensed cafe are 7am – 10pm.

Council is currently reviewing the submitted information and preparing referrals to the relevant service authorities. In due course the public notice (advertising) of the application will take place and, when completed, Council will be in a position to form a view on the application.
