Launch thy objections with this form

OK – here’s the Objection_Form2. Print it off and get objecting. You can an extra sheet if need be. Even better – write your own objection from scratch which gives you more scope and may carry more weight with Council. Make your objection specific to the development’s impact on you and your street. We all have until December 19. One objection per person please as numbers count. First; some details to help you fill in the objection:

You may wish to address:

  • the height, scale & bulk of the buildings (includimng 14 towers) which will dominate the skyline and overshadow surrounds;
  • the density of the development with 475 units – over 1000 new residents and 1000 extra vehicles;
  • the request for a dispensation from normal parking requirements.  Demand for on-street parking would adversely affect current residents. The applicant must meet full parking requirements on site.
  • increased traffic congestion in surrounding streets generated from an additional 1000 vehicles.
  • lack of open space within the proposed development. Our parks are currently overused. The proposal plans to exploit adjoining Toorak Park, Victory Square and public walkways.
  • less towers = more open space within the site. Less apartments = more harmony with locality.  
  • a disastrous precedent in Stonnington for more huge developments.
  • heritage Toorak station is threatened by the proposed plaza.        
  • public transport, schools and community services are unable to cope with extra demand.
