More Supreme news

Three years on and we just keep winning. And still not a single offer of compromise from the developer.

As you know, Stonnington Council was “granted leave” to appeal to the full Supreme Court VCAT’s decision. Great news and a rare opportunity. The date has now been set. The appeal has been scheduled for a 2 day hearing on 16 and 17 April 2013. It seems that dates with destiny takes a while to come round.

By the time of the appeal, Lend Lease will be three years behind schedule for the project.

Please put these dates in your diary as we will need a big turnout, particularly as one of the main grounds of appeal is the VCAT determination that “the extent of community opposition is irrelevant”. And this time, with so much notice and so much at stake and public disatisfaction so high on the agenda we mean it when we say – no excuses.

Work, school runs, travels and travails will all have to wait. Remember this development will stand for decades.
